Tyler Klimas is the Principal and Founder of Leaf Street Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in cannabis and hemp policy, regulatory strategy, and state and federal government affairs. A nationally recognized leader in cannabis regulation, he previously served as the first Executive Director of the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB), where he led the overhaul of Nevada’s regulatory framework and launched the nation’s first regulated cannabis consumption lounge program. Klimas was a founding member and president of the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA), expanding its federal engagement with Congress and key agencies. He also served as Nevada’s Washington Director and chief federal lobbyist under Governors Brian Sandoval and Steve Sisolak. Today, he continues to advise governments and businesses and speaks nationally on cannabis and hemp policy.

He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two children.
