Built for a niche problem that cannabis businesses and consumers alike face, Lüt was designed to fill a whitespace for a common problem facing high-risk industries. Like ‘Venmo’ but for cannabis, Lüt’s closed-loop payment processor will allow folks to load their Lüt balance before hitting a dispensary— taking out the need to pull out cash or deal with ATM fees. And like Venmo, the transaction will show on bank statements as ‘Lüt’ rather than a dispensary or ATM withdrawal. Unlike gaming, where folks have to buy tokens, users get real cash back from their Lüt balance. Mark can speak to personalizing products and experiences in banking from Lüt’s perspective, but also can provide insight with his 30 years of executive leadership experience across banking, finance, merchant services and franchise acquisitions. He has a singular perspective, as he’s held senior positions at some of the most recognized names in the financial services industry, including Bank of America. He is also Co-CEO of Ember Services/Ember Processing, a hybrid financial services firm. His previous roles include President of 420 Financial Services and CFO of BuyorSell4Le$$ Inc., as well as mortgage lending and consumer credit.
