Erin O’Donnell is the founder and CEO of the Association for Cannabis Banking, an education and standards organization dedicated to helping financial institutions understand, manage, and serve the legal cannabis industry with confidence. Through ACB, Erin develops practical training, certification programs, industry resources, and events designed specifically for bankers, credit unions, compliance professionals, and financial services leaders working in one of the most complex and rapidly evolving areas of banking.

She is also the co-author of Cannabis Banking: Legal Frameworks and Practical Solutions for Cultivating Compliance, published by Wiley in 2025, a practical guide for financial institutions navigating the legal, regulatory, operational, and compliance challenges of cannabis banking.

In addition to her work with ACB, Erin is the founder of Canna Chix, an initiative focused on elevating, connecting, and supporting women working at the intersection of cannabis, banking, compliance, and financial services. Her work reflects a deep commitment to education, innovation, community-building, and creating opportunities for women to lead in emerging and highly regulated markets.
